Four Frogs score in double-figures
MANHATTAN, Kan. - Damion Baugh led four Horned Frogs in double figures in No. 17 TCU's 82-61 loss at No. 12 Kansas State on Tuesday at Bramlage Coliseum.
The junior guard finished with 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting and added five rebounds and a team-high five assists. JaKobe Coles and Micah Peavy each had 11 points. Emanuel Miller scored 10 points to go with a team-high nine rebounds.
TCU (17-7, 6-5) committed 13 of its 19 turnovers in the first half, but trailed only by six, 36-30.
The Horned Frogs cut the deficit to two points in the first two minutes of the second half before Kansas State (19-5, 7-4) pushed its lead to 13 points, 53-40, with 14:02 to play. The Frogs outscored the Wildcats 19-12 over the next nine minutes. Coles converted a layup to make it a six-point game, 65-59, with 4:49 remaining.
K-State, which was led by Markquis Nowell's 18 points, closed the game on a 17-2 run.
The Horned Frogs return to action on Saturday when they host No. 14 Baylor at 3 p.m. on ESPN2.
