Johnson takes 10th in the pentathlon
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – TCU had a stellar Day One at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic on Friday in the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Highlighting the day was Elise Dobson and Jillian Johnson's first pentathlons. Johnson took 10th overall with 3,566 points while Dobson placed 17th with 3,374 points.
Samarra Monrroy won the 400m unseeded, running a time of 55.82 to take first. On the men's side, Donnie James finished 12th in the men's 400m unseeded with a time of 48.97.
In the women's 200m, Iyana Gray placed 12th with her time of 23.42, the third fastest time in TCU school history.

The New Mexico Collegiate Classic continues on Feb. 4 while the distance team and throwers compete at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa, on Feb. 4 as well.
