TCU's duo crowned AVCA Pairs National Champions in November
FORT WORTH – Following the National Pairs Championship, TCU beach volleyball's Hailey Hamlett and Anhelina Khmil were named CUSA's Pair of the Month for November on Wednesday. This is the duo's first career honor as a pairing.
Hamlett and Khmil had a perfect showing at the AVCA Collegiate Beach National Pairs Championship. The duo, who earned the No. 3 seed to start the tournament, were crowned with the championship title after going undefeated on the weekend.
The two collected seven wins total, earning victories over ULM (21-6, 21-9), Washington (21-11, 21-13), Stetson (21-11, 21-12), BSU (20-22, 21-16, 15-8), FIU (21-14, 21-12), UCLA in the semifinals (12-21, 21-13, 15-10) and Stanford in the finals (21-17, 19-21, 15-12).
The pairing showcased their dominance over opponents by tallying an average margin of victory of eight points per set for the tournament.
