
Frogs Conclude Fall Season Undefeated

No. 1 TCU takes down No. 8 Baylor
FORT WORTH – The No. 1 TCU equestrian team took down No. 8 Baylor 14-6 and moved to 6-0 for the first time in program history on Friday at Bear Creek Farms.
Lilly Goldstein, Giorgia Medows and Shea Graham were named Most Outstanding Performers in Flat, Horsemanship and Reining, respectively.
FENCES
The action began in the Fences arena where the Bears won their only event of the day, 3-2. Sydney Berube had her first win of the season and set a new season high taking down her opponent 85-78. NCEA October Fences Rider of the Month, Ashleigh Scully, defended her title winning the second point of the day 87-81.
REINING
In first home meet under Casey Deary's assistants, the Reining unit tallied a 3-2 win. Graham shined in the first ride of the day in the western arena bringing home the win with a 72.5 on Britney. This win earned the senior her third MOP of the season and finished out a perfect 6-0 fall season. Medows rode her way to her third Reining win of the season and fourth point for the Frogs with a 71 on Smooch. Dukes secured the final point for the Horned Frogs with a 69.5-68.5 win on Remi.
FLAT
Goldstein was the first rider to enter the Flat arena and used the moment to dominate the field. The freshman earned a career high 92 on Lui to stay undefeated (6-0) in the event and her collegiate career. Her fellow Frog teammates rose to the occasion securing the following three points to win the event 4-1. Scully earned her third win of the season with an 82 on Cheers, Laurel Smith claimed a point with an 80 on Lina and Ella Bostwick brought it home with an 81 on Wiz.
HORSEMANSHIP
The Horsemanship team concluded the fall season undefeated (6-0) and claimed their fourth sweep in a row. Medows highlighted the event with a 76.5-71.5 win over her Baylor opponent on Jake. The ride earned the senior her first MOP in the event this season. Dukes and McAllister stayed perfect (6-0) with a score of 75 and 73, respectively.
UP NEXT
TCU will have a 10-week break before their first Spring meet where they will take on Delaware State at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo on Jan. 25, 2024.
