Horned Frogs are set for TCU Invitational

Five Frogs will Compete
FORT WORTH: TCU Women's Tennis will get the spring started early with the TCU Invitational from Saturday, Jan. 7- Monday, Jan. 9 at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Among the Frogs, the invitational will feature players from four different schools. A round robin style of both singles and doubles will be played between four groups featuring players from Texas Tech, SMU, Tarleton State and Central Arkansas. No matches will count towards any teams' overall record, but individual scores will be tallied. An individual tournament champion for both singles and doubles will be awarded once matches conclude by the tournament committee.
Five Horned Frogs will play in their first action of 2023 in the invitational. Sophomore Jade Otway, who is now up to No. 1056 in the most recent WTA rankings. In the fall, Otway impressed by finishing as a runner-up in the W15 Wellington.
Other Frogs competing is sophomore Helena Narmont who has had a stellar fall making it to the quarter final round of the International Tennis Association Championships Regional Championships. Junior Destinee Martins has started off her career as a Frog with sn astounding performance at the SMU Invite where she finished as a runner-up.
Freshman Yu-Chin Tsai and senior Margaret Polk have also contributed strong starts in the fall as well with multiple victories.

Group C- TTU(4)/SMU(2)- 6 players
Group D- TCU(5)/UCA(1)- 6 players
