TCU Unveils Complete 2022-23 Men's Tennis Schedule

Honred Frogs have 14 home regular season matches on the docket
FORT WORTH – Just seven days separate TCU men's tennis from the start of the 2022-23 season, as head coach David Roditi announced the program's complete schedule on Tuesday.
Overall, the Horned Frogs have 29 contests on the docket, including 14 at the Bayard H. Freidman Tennis Center. Five fall tournaments from September-November officially commence the campaign. Following a brief pause for the winter holidays, TCU is set for nine Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) regular season matches before concluding the indoor season with the ITA Indoor National Championships on Feb. 17-20. The outdoor season gets rolling on March 4, is highlighted by seven home matches and a trip to Kansas on Apr. 21-23 for the Big 12 Championships and culminates with the NCAA Regional and National Championships throughout May.
TCU opens its fall slate by splitting its roster for two September tournaments. The Horned Frogs' official 2022-23 debut takes place in the Natural State at the M15 Fayetteville from Sept. 19-25. TCU is also sending a small army of Frogs out west for the Battle in the Bay Classic, which runs from Sept. 22-25 on the campus of University of San Francisco.
A trio of ITA matches then await the Horned Frogs. Up first is a visit to Tulsa, Oklahoma on Oct. 1-9 for the ITA All-American Championships. TCU then makes the 90-mile bus ride south to Waco on Oct. 13-18 to take part in the ITA Texas Regional. The fall season concludes on Nov. 2-6 with the ITA National Fall Championships in San Diego.
TCU's indoor and outdoor lineup is undoubtedly elite. In total, 18 of the Horned Frogs' 20 regular season matches are against teams ranked in the top-60 of the final ITA Collegiate Tennis National Team Rankings in 2022.
The Horned Frogs begin their defense of the 2022 ITA Indoor National Championship with a home-heavy January. The Horned Frogs' 2023 home debut goes down on Jan. 14 vs. Abilene Christian. TCU then returns to the court two days later to reignite a regional rivalry vs. SMU. The month concludes with a two-match multi-team event featuring Gonzaga, Texas Tech and Utah on Jan. 28-29 in Fort Worth. Sprinkled in between the home matches is a quick trip to Oklahoma to battle Tulsa on Jan. 22.
February features the Horned Frogs' longest road trip of the year with three-match swing at Tennessee (Feb. 2), North Carolina (Feb. 5) and Baylor (Feb. 8). The weeklong affair likely serves as a litmus test for the ITA Indoor National Championships. Including TCU, all four teams were ranked in the top-15 of the final set of ITA Collegiate Tennis National Team Rankings. TCU and Baylor finished No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Tennessee earned the No. 6 ranking while North Carolina capped the spring ranked No. 14.
Following the road gauntlet, TCU returns home once more to host Pepperdine on Feb. 12.

The regular season concludes with a pair of road matches at Texas Tech on Apr. 8 and opposite Texas on Apr. 15.
