Macnab sets a program mark for eagles
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Caitlyn Macnab set a TCU record for eagles as the Horned Frogs' season came to a close Sunday at the NCAA Women's Golf Championship in Scottsdale, Ariz.
TCU, which finished 21st, made its first NCAA Championship appearance since 2010, reached the national top 25 and saw 26 program records set in the 2021-22 campaign.
Macnab's record-breaking eagle, her seventh of the season, came on the par 5, 474-yard seventh hole. The freshman from Johannesburg, South Africa, broke a tie with teammates Sabrina Iqbal and Valeria Pacheco.
Macnab lowered her score each round of the tournament, capped by Sunday's 1-over 73 which included par on 15 holes.
Iqbal and Pacheco closed their careers. Iqbal holds seven TCU records, including career stroke average of 72.9, while Pacheco played in a career-best 12 tournaments this season and 36 in her career.
