TCU heads to one of the top meets in the country
FORT WORTH – The TCU track & field teams return to action for the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, one of the nation's premier annual meets.

Last Time Out
The Horned Frogs shined at the annual home meet at Lowdon. TCU won six events and broke a school record during the meet.
Sydney Juszczyk broke the school record in the javelin in her Horned Frog debut as the Frogs hosted the TCU Invitational. She posted the winning mark of 46.64m (153-0) and broke the previous school record of 45.34m (148-9), which was set by Makenda Schroder in 2013.
The men's 4x100 team picked up a win to kick off the meet. The squad of Bryson Stubblefield, Tinotenda Matiyenga, Kundai Maguranyanga and Robert Gregory Jr. ran a time of 39.34. In the 4x400m relay, David Seete, Simbarashe Maketa, Gregory and Matiyenga clocked a winning time of 3:05.04.
Gracie Morris notched a win in the 800m as she ran the second fastest time in school history with a 2:06.36. Rylan Engels finished in second behind Morris with her time of 2:12.22.
Kasey Staley picked up her second win of the outdoor season in the pole vault with a height of 4.10m. At the Longhorn Invitational two weeks ago, she broke the school record with a height of 4.20m.
Lakelin Conrad posted a dominating performance in the 3000m run with a time of 8:36.01, beating the runner-up by over 12 seconds.
Ryan Martin finished second in the 800m with a time of 1:53.46. Also finishing second was Khyasia Caldwell in the long jump with a mark of 6.32m (20-9.0).

2022 NCAA Indoor Championships
The Horned Frogs shined at the NCAA Indoor Championships with the men's team finishing 10th overall with a team score of 20 points.
Robert Gregory Jr. was named the national runner-up in the 200m with a time of 20.77 and Tinotenda Matiyenga followed closely behind him by finishing third with a time of 20.84. Both Frogs earned First Team All-America honors.
Chengetayi (Du) Mapaya was named a First Team All-American after earning bronze in the triple jump with a mark of 16.51m (54-2).

Du It Again
Mapaya returns for his final outdoor season to defend his national title in the outdoor triple jump from 2019. He also garnered a bronze medal at the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships as well. As a freshman in 2018, Mapaya reached the championship in the triple jump and finished third with a 16.38m (53-9) jump.
Mapaya secured the national championship in the most dramatic fashion possible. Going into his sixth and final jump of the night, Mapaya was in third place after a jump of 16.94m (55-7) in his fifth attempt. On the final jump of the competition, Mapaya jumped 17.13m (56-2.5) passing up event leader Jordan Scott of Virginia (17.01m, 55-9.75) and winning the national championship. It was TCU's first national title in track and field since Ronnie Baker won the 60m dash in 2016.
He broke the school record in the triple jump at last year's NCAA Indoor Championships with a mark of 16.95m (55-7.5). He currently holds both the indoor and outdoor TCU triple jump records.
