
Rifle Drops Regular Season Match

The Horned Frogs will compete against Air Force again on Saturday in the NCAA Qualifier
FORT WORTH - The No. 3 TCU women's rifle dropped its second match of the season, falling to No. 7 Air Force 4,736-4,720.
TCU fired a smallbore score of 2,345 and an air rifle score of 2,375.
Stephanie Grundsoee led the team in smallbore, firing a 588 and placing second in the discipline. Nina Schuett shot a career-high 588 and placed fourth. Anne White (585) and Kristen Hemphill (584) finished sixth and seventh, respectively. Stephanie Allan served as a counter in the match and shot a 581 to place 10th in the discipline.
Abigail Gordon led the Frogs in air rifle with a career-high 598. She placed third in the discipline. Allan fired a 596 to finish fifth, and Grundsoee fired a 595 to finish sixth. White and Hemphill both shot a 592 and placed 10th and 11th, respectively. Schuett also served as a counter in the discipline and fired a 590. Gianna Yokoe set a new personal career-high (586) to finish 15th. Taylor Haffner (585) and Noelle Christensen (575) also fired in the match.
Overall, the Frogs had five of the top 10 individual scores. Grundsoee came in second with her aggregate of 1,183. Schuett finished seventh with her 1,178. Allan and White both ended with an aggregate of 1,177 and placed eighth and ninth, respectively. Hemphill rounded out the TCU shooters with her aggregate of 1,176 to place 10th in the individual standings.
TCU will return to the TCU Rifle Range to take on Air Force once again on Saturday in the NCAA Qualifier.
