TCU Rebounds; Tops Air Force In NCAA Qualifier

TCU boasts six of the top 10 scores in the match.
FORT WORTH – The TCU women's rifle team topped Air Force 4,740-4,732 in the NCAA qualifier Saturday at the TCU Rifle Range. Saturday's match score for both teams will be used to determine the top eight qualifiers for the NCAA Championships.
Nina Schuett led the team in smallbore shooting a career-high 591. Stephanie Allan also set a personal record in the discipline with a 590. Grundsoee placed sixth in smallbore after firing a 586. Gordon and Hemphill both shot a 584, placing ninth and 10th, respectively. Anne White fired a 582.
Gordon matched her career-high of 598 to lead the Frogs in air rifle. Grundsoee, Hemphill and White all fired identical marks of 597 to round out the top five. Allan also served as a counter in the discipline shooting a 595. While not contributing to the team's score, Schuett fired a 589.
Overall, the Frogs produced six of the top 10 individual scores. Allan (1,185), Grundsoee (1,183), Gordon (1,182) and Hemphill (1,181) rounded out the top five match shooters.
