Frogs put their best game together against Warhawks

FORT WORTH – Emanuel Miller was one of 11 Horned Frogs that scored on Thursday night in a 95-60 TCU win over ULM in Schollmaier Arena.

Miller had a team-high 16 points, one 6-of-9 shooting, and tied for the team lead with seven rebounds. Jakobe Coles scored a career-high 15 points and had seven rebounds and three blocks. Micah Peavy had 12 points, his third game this season in double-figures. Chuck O'Bannon had 11 points with the help of two 3-pointers.

TCU (3-1) jumped out to a quick 12-2 lead, and never looked back. The Frogs led 53-26 at the half, the most points in a one period in three seasons.

The Horned Frogs had their best offense and defensive effort of the season in the same game. TCU shot 53.1 percent from the field, including a 57.3 percent mark in the first half. ULM (2-2) shot 30.3 percent.

TCU connected on 10 of 20 3-point attempts, led by Rondel Walker, who was 3-of-4 and scored all nine points from three. The Frogs were 17-of-19 from the free throw line.

TCU heads to Niceville, Fla. for the Emerald Coast Classic facing California in the opening game on Nov. 25 at 8:30 p.m. The game will be shown on CBS Sports Network.

Team Notes

TCU improved to 3-3 all-time against ULM.
TCU out-rebounded ULM, 46-32. The Frogs improved to 103-35 when out-rebounding their opponent under Jamie Dixon.
TCU made a season-high 10 3-pointers. It was the most since making 11 at Texas Tech last season.
The Frogs totaled a season-high 22 assists. The last time TCU had 20 or more assists was Dec. 21, 2021 against Grambling State.
TCU's 35-point win was the largest margin of victory since the Frogs 45-point victory on Dec. 21, 2021 against Grambling State.
TCU's 95 points were the most dating back to Jan. 30, 2021 against Missouri (98) in overtime and the most in regulation since Nov. 12, 2019 against Louisiana (98).
TCU had 10 blocked shots, the most since blocking 10 against Kansas on Feb. 8, 2020.
TCU was 17-of-19 from the free throw line. Its 89.5 percent shooting was its best effort from the line (min. 10 attempts) since shooting 90.9 percent (10-of-11) at Kansas last season.
TCU led 53-26 at the half. The 53 points scored were the most in a half since scoring 54 in the second half against Baylor on Feb. 29, 2020.

Individual Notes

Jakobe Coles had a career-high 15 points. His previous high was 14 on Dec. 23, 2020 against Providence while playing for Butler.
Coles tied a career-high with three blocks.
Shahada Wells had eight points accompanied by a team-high seven assists.
PJ Haggerty had career-highs in points with eight, rebounds with four and assists with three. He also played a career-high 21 minutes.
Tyler Lundblade played a season-high six minutes and had his first points as a Horned Frog with two.
Rondel Walker with his second career start with the Frogs had a season-high 28 minutes.
Souleymane Doumbia had his first points of the season with two and his most minutes played with seven.
Micah Peavy scored 12 points. He has scored in double figures in three of four games this season.
Rondel Walker's 3 three-pointers were the most since Feb. 16, 2021 while he was at Oklahoma State.
