
TCU Falls On The Road at No. 12 North Carolina

Chapel Hill, N.C. - Tomi Taiwo recorded a career-high 15 points, but the TCU Horned Frogs fell on the road to No. 12 North Carolina, 75-48, on Saturday afternoon at Carmichael Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Horned Frogs jumped out to an early lead and took a 17-13 advantage after the first quarter of play. After trading baskets, North Carolina made a late run to make the halftime score, 30-24, in favor of the Tarheels. TCU was unable to claw back in the second-half as North Carolina held on for the 75-48 victory over TCU.
Taiwo was the leading score for the Horned Frogs on 3-of-8 shooting from behind the arc and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Emily Fisher also reach double-figures in the scoring column and notched 10 points on a 3-for-6 effort from the field. Senior forward Bella Cravens finished with a team-high five rebounds in the game.
As a team, TCU shot 11-for-13 at the charity stripe. and forced North Carolina to commit 18 turnovers in the game.
Alyssa Ustby and Kennedy Todd-Williams each had 14 points to lead North Carolina.

The Horned Frogs return back home for their next contest against non-conference opponent University of Texas-San Antonio. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 16, inside Schollmaier Arena. The game will be live on television on Big 12 Now and ESPN Plus, along with airing live on the radio through KTCU.
