FORT WORTH – No. 15 TCU battled to a 0-0 tie with Texas Tech to close out the regular season Thursday night at Garvey-Rosenthal. The Horned Frogs finished the conference slate at 5-1-3 and clinched the No. 2 seed in the Big 12 Tournament.

The Frogs' offense came out firing to start the second half. In the opening 11 minutes, TCU tallied five shots.
One of TCU's best scoring opportunities came in the 69th minute. Payton Crews delivered a cross to Gracie Brian inside the six but the pass was just out of Brian's reach. In the 74th minute, Oli Pena fired a laser of a shot from 20 yards out, but Texas Tech's goalkeeper was there to make the save.
The Frogs continued to create scoring opportunities in the final minutes. With just four minutes remaining, AJ Hennessey dribbled between the legs of a Red Raider defender and launched a shot from inside the 18, but her shot went wide left.
TCU goalkeeper Lauren Kellett posted her eighth shutout of the season.

Quote of the Game
Coach Eric Bell
Overall thoughts on the game
"I think overall, it was a really good performance. Our 18 to their 18 was unbelievable, but in the attacking third, we need to be more clinical and cutthroat in front of the goal."
On finishing set pieces
"We have to be more consistent with the service. We're getting all of these different chances, but we need to be more dangerous with our services and be more consistent on where the ball is going to be."
On Camryn Lancaster's strong attack
"I thought she was really good. I thought all the players had good performances. She's very dynamic, very dangerous and we need to stop being thunder and be lightning."
