
Frogs Open Spring Season Against Delaware State

TCU set to host Delaware State
FORT WORTH – The No. 10- ranked TCU equestrian team is set to kick off the Spring season against No. 7- ranked Delaware State this Thursday, Jan. 27. Jumping Seat will begin at 10 a.m. at Diamond Creek Ranch (nut free facility) and Western will compete at John Justin Arena at 5 p.m., as part of the Fort Worth Stock Show.
ALL-TIME SERIES
TCU leads the all-time series 13-0 over Delaware State. The Frogs are 4-0 when facing the Hornets at home. The last time the two programs faces off was January 30, 2021, where TCU took home the victory, 15-2 in Fort Worth.

January 27th is TCU Day at the Rodeo! Come say "howdy" to your fellow Horned Frogs by wearing purple and receiving free admission to the rodeo grounds, as well as the equestrian meet! The Frog Club will be tabling in the TCU lobby entrance within Dickies Arena and would love to see you there!
SCOUTING THE FROGS
TCU (3-5, 0-3 BIG 12) is coming off a two-month break with their last meet taking place on Nov. 5 where the Frogs fell to No. 3 Baylor 14-6. Sophomore, Sydney Berube secured her career first MOP in Flat.
The Western Seat leads the charge for the Horned Frogs with most wins coming from Jessica McAllister with seven in Horsemanship, Mattie Dukes with six in Horsemanship and five in Reining and Girogia Medows with five in Reining. Dukes starts the second half of the season with no losses in Horsemanship with an overall record of 6-0-1. The Western Seat is 23-11 overall in Horsemanship and 19-17 in Reining as they approach the second half of the 2021 calendar.
Graduate Student, Raegan Rast leads the Jumping Seat in total wins with 5 in Fences. She is 5-3 overall with one MOP coming from the South Dakota State meet. The Jumping Seat looks to use their Fall season as a foundation for the Spring as they had an overall record of 17-20 in Fences and 12-23 in Flat.

Delaware State (5-3, 0-0 ECAC) are coming off a two-month bye as the last time they competed was Nov. 20 where they beat South Dakota State 12-5. The Hornets finished the Fall season No. 7 in the NCEA Dual Discipline Team Ranking after being unranked in the preseason.
The Hornets swept all four events along with the four MOPs against SDSU where they won 4-1 in Fences, 3-2 in Flat, 4-0 in Horsemanship and 5-2 in Reining. Olivia Brown took home the MOP in Fences with an 87-80 victory, Gabrille Fournier in Flat with an 87-67.5 win, Ashley Grasso secured the win in Horsemanship with a 76-75 win and Amber Van Segbrook edged her opponent in Reining 72-71.5.
