TCU Title Run Ends in Semifinals

The Horned Frogs came up short vs. LSU to finish third in the Aqua Bracket.

HUNTSVILLE, ALA. – No. 7 TCU Beach Volleyball (26-8) had its CCSA Championship run brought to a halt on Sunday morning, falling to No. 3 LSU, 5-0, in the Aqua Bracket semifinals, in Huntsville, Ala. The Horned Frogs end the weekend with three victories. This was the longest run into the conference tournament in program history.

TCU will return to Fort Worth and await the results of the NCAA Tournament Selection Show this Sunday, May 2. The Horned Frogs are hoping to become the first beach volleyball program from the state of Texas to qualify for the Top-8 national tournament.

QUICK HITS

This was only the second 5-0 sweep the Horned Frogs have suffered this season. In contrast, they have earned nine 5-0 victories this season, including a program-best streak of five sweeps in a row (March 14-20).
Three wins is the most TCU has ever achieved at the CCSA tournament.
TCU finishes the season 17-6 in conference matches, its greatest winning percentage in program history.
The Horned Frogs finish the regular season with 112 match victories, the most ever, in a single season.
