Miller rushes for 102 yards on the day
The Horned Frogs' offense was led by Kendre Miller's team-high 102 yards rushing, marking his second 100-yard game of the season and third of his career.
T.J. Carter's first interception as a Horned Frog set up TCU's first score of the game, a 24-yard field goal by Griffin Kell. His eighth consecutive made attempt cut the Horned Frogs' deficit to 7-3 just 52 seconds into the second quarter. A key play on the drive was a Miller 23-yard carry to the K-State 10 on a 3rd-and-8. Miller also had two receptions for 26 yards on the series.
TCU's second score of the game came via its defense. After the Horned Frogs were stopped on downs at the K-State 1, Dee Winters made a tackle in the end zone on the first series of the Wildcats' ensuing series to make it a 14-5 game with 6:26 left in the second quarter.
TCU's final score was on a 3-yard Emari Demercado run, capping a 6-play, 75-yard drive.
The Horned Frogs, who entered the game No. 1 in the nation in red-zone offensive efficiency at 100.0 percent (25-of-25), had two possessions inside the K-State 5-yard line that did not produce points.
