Team Notes
* TCU won in its debut under Interim Head Coach Jerry Kill.
* The Horned Frogs have won six of the last seven meetings with Baylor and are 7-3 against the Bears in Big 12 play. TCU is 10-4 versus Baylor since the Southwest Conference dissolved after the 1995 season.
* With 117 games played, TCU has faced Baylor more than any opponent in its history. TCU holds a 57-53-7 series advantage.
* TCU's 562 yards of offense were its most in a game since totaling 625 against Kansas in 2019.
* TCU scored for the 364th consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and third-longest in NCAA history, one shy of tying Michigan (365, 1984-2014) for second all-time. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991, at Texas (32-0).
* Ten Horned Frogs had a reception in the game.
* A sack by Nook Bradford gave TCU at least one sack in 94 of its last 100 games.
* The Horned Frogs' defense totaled seven tackles for loss from six different players.
* TCU's captains were Steve Avila, Terrell Cooper, Emari Demercado and Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson. It was the first time being a captain for Cooper and Hodges-Tomlinson.
* TCU wore an anthracite jersey, anthracite pants and a fierce purple helmet.
Individual Notes
Offense
* Chandler Morris made his first career start and totaled 531 yards of offense (461 passing, 70 rushing), the second-best total in TCU history. It trails only the 696 by Matt Vogler against Houston in 1990.
* The 461 yards passing by Morris, completing 29-of-41 attempts, were fourth-most in a game in TCU history.
* Morris ranks third in Big 12 history for most passing yards in a first career start. The 461 yards are also the third-most nationally since 2012 for a player in his first career start. No. 1 on the list is TCU Quarterbacks Coach Kenny Hill with 511 in 2014.
* Morris was the first TCU quarterback to pass for 400 yards since Kenny Hill, his position coach, threw for 449 against Oklahoma in 2016.
* Morris scored his first touchdown as a Horned Frog on a 12-yard first-quarter keeper. He finished with 70 yards rushing on 11 carries.
* Morris also had his first career reception on a 7-yard pass from Taye Barber. It was Barber's first completion.
* Quentin Johnston had five receptions for 152 yards, his third 100-yard effort in the last four contests. His five career 100-yard games are the most among current Horned Frogs.
* Taye Barber had a season-best six receptions for 78 yards.
* Derius Davis posted a season-best 81 yards receiving on five catches.
* Dominic DiNunzio, who attends TCU on an ROTC scholarship, had a 5-yard scoring reception for his first career touchdown. He totaled a career-high two receptions in the game.
* Quincy Brown recorded a career-high three receptions for 46 yards.
* Emari Demercado's four receptions for 55 yards were one shy of equaling a career high.
Defense
• Linebacker Shadrach Banks, a converted wide receiver, had the game-saving interception with 1:03 to play for his first career pick. He also had a tackle for loss in the game.
* Nook Bradford recorded the first sack of his career.
* Dylan Horton and Dee Winters tied for team-best honors with eight tackles each. Horton had two stops for loss.
* Kee'yon Steward, in his first game of the season, had his first career interception. It was in the TCU end zone off a deflection from Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson.
Special Teams
* Griffin Kell had field goals of 30, 46 and 24 yards.
* Kell's streak of 11 consecutive made field-goal attempts, tying Nick Browne (2002) for eighth-longest in TCU history, came to an end.
