
Frogs Hit the Road for Two Matchups

No. 6 TCU set to take on South Dakota and Minnesota Crookston
BROOKINGS, S.D. – The No. 6-ranked TCU equestrian team heads north this weekend, where they will take on South Dakota and Minnesota Crookston at the DeHaan Equestrian Center.
The Horned Frogs will open the meet on Thursday at 7 a.m. against South Dakota, followed by a quarter-meet against Minnesota Crookston at 6 p.m. where they will compete in Fences only. The final three events of the meet will take place on Friday at 8 a.m.

TCU (2-3, 0-2 Big 12) is coming off a loss in its last meet, falling to No. 4 OSU 12-6. Isabella Baxter rode her way to her first MOP of the season with an 86-78 win.
The Western seat for TCU has shown its dominance this season moving to 8-2 on the season in both Horsemanship (4-1) and Reining (4-1). Junior, Mattie Dukes leads the unit with three MOPs under her belt, one in Horsemanship and two in Reining. Sophomore, Jessica McAllister follows right behind her with two MOPs on the season, both in Horsemanship.
On the Jump Seat side, Senior, Isabella Baxter has paved the way for the Frogs in Fences where she has one MOP, securing it after defeating her No. 4 OSU opponent, 86-78, last weekend. TCU is 1-9 on the Jump Seat side, only securing Fences against UC Davis on Oct. 3 where they won 3-2.

South Dakota State (0-2, 0-1 ECAC) is coming off a 10-8 loss to UT Martin two weeks ago where they fell to the Skyhawks in Flat action. TCU holds the all-time series, 9-3, including an away record of 1-2. The last time the two competed was in January where TCU defeated SDSU 18-1 in Fort Worth.

TCU will be competing against the University of Minnesota Crookston for the first time in program history on Thursday. The program officially joined the ECAC this September. The Jump seat for the Golden Eagles competed at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls two weeks ago where they earned High Point Team Honors two days in a row. The Western seat competed at home last weekend where they secured the Reserve High Point Team Honors.
