Isabella Baxter secures first MOP of the season
STILLWATER, Okla. – The sixth-ranked TCU equestrian team fell to fourth-ranked Oklahoma State, 12-6, Saturday afternoon at Pedigo-Hull Equestrian Center.
THE RUNDOWN
TCU (2-3, 0-2 Big 12) opened the day with a 3-2 loss in Fences. Raegan Rast earned the first point for the Horned Frogs with an 83-60 win on Clever. Isabella Baxter claimed the second point for TCU, as well as the MOP, with an 86-78 win on Bentley.
In Horsemanship, TCU, for the first time this season, dropped the event, 3-1. Jessica McAllister claimed the only point for the Frogs outscoring her opponent 79.5-78.5 on Chili.
After the break, TCU was swept, 4-0, in Flat action. Jacey Albaugh had the highest score in the event for the Frogs tying with her opponent, 83.5-83.5.
The Frogs finished the day out strong with a 3-2 victory in Reining. Madyson Buchanan started off the event with a 70-69.5 win on Ben. Shea Graham rode her way to a victory outscoring her opponent 69.5-68.5 on Hannah. Giorgia Medows secured the event for the Frogs with a 70.5 ride on Bart.
UP NEXT
TCU will take to the road next week to Brookings, S.D., for two meets against South Dakota Sate on Oct. 28 and University of Minnesota Crookston on Oct. 29.
