
Women's Tennis Hosts TCU Invite

The 2021 season begins this Saturday with a four-day home tournament
FORT WORTH -- TCU Women's Tennis begins its 2021 season by welcoming in five schools for a four-day tournament, the TCU Invite, at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Horned Frogs will host Texas A&M, Houston, Rice, North Texas and Central Arkansas from Jan. 9-12.
Matches begin on Saturday, Jan. 9, at 10:30 a.m. Follow along with the action on the TCU Women's tennis twitter account @TCUWomensTennis for updates throughout the tournament.

This tournament will be played as an individual competition. Three singles and three doubles champions will be crowned at the conclusion of the matches on Tuesday (Jan. 12). The tournament committee for the purposes of crowning these champions are the 6 participating Head Coaches and Tournament Director.
This year's Horned Frogs squad features three seniors, all nationally ranked singles players from the 2020 season: Tate Schroeder (No. 70), Alisa Soloveva (No. 76) and Marie Norris (No. 81). Additionally, TCU boasts six players with at least one career victory at the No. 1 singles position: Schroeder, Soloveva, Norris, Mercedes Aristegui, Aleksa Cveticanin and Stevie Kennedy.
This weekend will also be the spring debut of Isabel Pascual Montalvo. The freshman from Barcelona, Spain led the Frogs with 11 combined victories in the fall season.
Addy Guevara and Margaret Polk will be looking to start off the new year with strong results this weekend. Guevara returns for her third season on the purple courts while Polk will be entering her sophomore campaign.
