
Frogs Fall in Overtime, 102-98, at No. 12 Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Holding a 12-point lead under five minutes to play, TCU was unable to hold off No. 12 Missouri in a 102-98 overtime loss at Mizzou Arena Saturday in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
TCU (9-7) was led in scoring by freshman point guard Mike Miles, who contributed a career-high 28 points, along with five assists and five rebounds. Chuck O'Bannon added 17 points, one shy of his season high, and shot 3-of-6 from three-point range. Missouri (11-3) was carried to victory by Jeremiah Tillman (33 points) and Xavier Pinson (36 points).
After a back-and-forth affair for most of the opening period, TCU connected on 9-of-10 field goals to take a 41-36 lead late in the first half and led 43-38 at the half.
TCU maintained its offensive momentum in the second half, stretching its lead to a game-best 12-point margin with 4:57 left in regulation. Miles had 18 points in the second half, followed by Nembhard who found his shot late in the game to record nine points down the stretch. However, Missouri found ways to hit big shots in the final four minutes of regulation, closing out the second half on a 17-9 run, including a game tying 3-pointer by Pinson, with just over three seconds left on the clock, ultimately forcing overtime.
Jaedon LeDee hit two free throws to give TCU a 98-97 lead with 52 seconds to play in overtime. The Tigers responded with a layup and held on for the win.

TCU resumes Big 12 play when it hosts Oklahoma State at Schollmaier Arena on Wednesday at 8 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN2.

- RJ Nembhard scored 15 points. It was his 13th consecutive game scoring in double-figures
- With a career-high 28 points, freshman Mike Miles has scored 15 or more points in nine games this season, including three of his last four.
- Miles was 2-of-4 from 3-point range. With 30 made 3-pointers this season, Miles has tied Desmond Bane for seventh in TCU history for most 3-pointers made by a freshman
- O'Bannon was 3-of-6 from 3-point range, his second-straight game with three 3-point field goals as well as 50% field goal percentage from behind the 3-point line.
- O'Bannon scored 17 points, one shy of tying his season high.
- PJ Fuller scored 10 points, on 4-of-7 shooting.
-Jaedon LeDee tied his season high in points with 11, as well as set a new season high in rebounds with seven.
- Kevin Samuel battled with foul trouble throughout the game and fouled out with 3:07 left in the second half. Fuller fouled out with 3:06 remaining in overtime.
- Freshman Eddie Lampkin scored his first collegiate points as he was 1-for-1 with two points.
