FROG FOCUS
TCU is coming off a well-deserved, 4-0, win over USF last Sunday. Senior Marie Norris continued her remarkable senior season with a three-set, dual clinching victory at No. 1. It was her first-career win at No. 1 singles and brought her 2020 dual record to a still-perfect, 4-0.
Elsewhere, Stevie Kennedy and Margaret Polk delivered wins in both singles and doubles. It was the first time this season each player managed a 2-0 day. Kennedy is 3-1 this season in singles play with wins coming at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles. Polk found the win column for the first time in her college career, getting a straight-sets victory at No. 4 singles.
SCOUTING THE OPPOSITION
Oklahoma (5-3) also enters the weekend fresh off a victory. The Sooners ousted Illinois, on the road, last Sunday. TCU leads the all-time series, 22-16, including a 4-2 record in the Lee Taylor Walker era.
Oklahoma State enters play at No. 12 in the Oracle ITA team rankings. The Cowgirls are 9-1 on the year with the lone loss coming against No. 2 Ohio State in the ITA Weekend Kickoff. OSU will open the Big 12 season against Texas Tech, on Friday, before taking on TCU. OSU leads the all-time series, 12-7. The Horned Frogs will be looking to knock off Oklahoma State for the first time in the Walker era.
