The Beach Frogs Fall on Opening Day

Tallahassee, Fla. – The No. 16 ranked TCU beach volleyball team took on No. 9 Stetson and No. 2 Florida State in day one of the Seminole Beach Bash hosted by Florida State.

TCU began the day by nearly knocking off Stetson 3-2, but their comeback bid fell short. The Horned Frogs and Hatters were deadlocked 1-1 when Trinity Cavanaugh earned her first win at TCU with partner Taylor Bradley, putting the Frogs up 2-1. Stetson then tied the match 2-2, leaving Avery Arellano and Hailey Brockett as the deciding duo. The pair sent their match into a third set, ultimately dropping 15-13, giving Stetson the 3-2 win over TCU.

In the afternoon, the Horned Frogs took on No. 2 Florida State in their second game of the day. FSU beat TCU 5-0. Avery Arellano and Hailey Brockett had another three-set match, earning the only set-win of the day.
