Horned Frogs secure their third-straight sweep with wins on court three, five and six
DALLAS -- TCU men's tennis (6-4) earned its third-straight victory Saturday afternoon in a 4-0 sweep of the crosstown rival SMU Mustangs. It is the third consecutive sweep for TCU and the fifth 4-0 win of the 2020 campaign.
DOUBLES RECAP
The Horned Frogs continued their impressive doubles play, winning on courts two and three to secure the doubles point for the fourth straight match and eighth time this season.
The newly minted ranked duo of Sander Jong and Tadeas Paroulek (No. 57), proved their merit with another strong display of tennis. The duo earned an early break to take a 3-1 lead and held serve through the end for a 6-3 result. The win improves their record to 6-2 this season including three in a row.
Luc Fomba and Bertus Kruger notched their team-best seventh doubles victory of the year in dramatic fashion, using a break in the final service game to secure a 7-5 victory and win the doubles point for the Horned Frogs. It was the pair's fourth straight victory after going 3-0 at the ITA Indoor National Championships last weekend.

SINGLES RECAP
The Mustangs started singles play with championship levels of intensity only to be stifled by the Horned Frog front. As the matches continued the TCU talent was brought to the forefront. By duel's end, the Horned Frogs had won three matches and were leading in the second set of the other three.
Sander Jong managed to carry his overwhelmingly strong play from Wisconsin to the Lone Star State with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 6. It was the fourth-straight win for Jong this season and fifth overall, tied for the most singles wins on the team. He has been dominant over this win-streak, winning the matches by a combined score of 49-22.
After winning the opening set on a break point, 6-4, Tadeas Paroulek found his groove in the second, jumping all over his opponent for a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles. It was Paroulek's second singles win of the season and first at the No. 3 spot.
The clinching blow came from Bertus Kruger at No. 5. The junior scored an early break in his opening set to win, 6-4 and cruised through a 6-2 second set for his first singles win of the year since returning from injury.
