Collins, Duricek Earn Numerous Weekly Accolades

TCU has had five honorees this season
FORT WORTH – TCU women's soccer sophomore Grace Collins was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, while senior defender Tijana Duricek was selected as the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week. The honor is the second for Collins and the first for Duricek. Additionally, Collins was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week and the College Soccer News National Player of the Week.
Collins assisted with the Horned Frogs' first goal in the second half against K-State and scored the game-winner in overtime. The game-winning goal was the first of her career. She has three goals this season and at least a point in the last four matches.
One of three Horned Frogs to play every minute in matches against Kansas and K-State, Duricek helped TCU hold both KU and K-State to a combined eight shots on goal. The senior tallied the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory over No. 5 Kansas.
They join Brandi Peterson (Defensive Player of the Week, Oct. 12), Marz Akins (Freshman of the Week, Sept. 14) and Emily Alvarado (Goalkeeper of the Week, Sept. 22) as TCU's honorees this season. Alvarado was also named the National Player of the Week on Sept. 22, while Peterson was selected as the National Player of the Week on Oct. 12.
