TCU won its only match of the day at the LSU Beach Invitational.

BATON ROUGE, La. – The No. 20 TCU beach volleyball team won a close 3-2 match against Texas A&M-Kingsville to start the LSU Beach Invitational on Saturday at the LSU Beach Volleyball Complex in Baton Rouge, La.

The Horned Frogs (13-12, 2-4 CCSA) began the first day of the tournament by facing the Javelinas (10-11). The teams split the first two courts, as the Frogs comeback effort on court five fell short. Molly Scheel and Taylor Bradley quickly gave TCU a second win by beating Haley Hutchinson and Macy Berg, 21-12, 21-14. A&M-Kingsville earned a victory on court two, but it was a moot point since the Frogs had already sealed the win with a court one victory by Mandi Orellana and Haven Hill.

The Frogs continue play tomorrow at the LSU Beach Invitational by facing fellow conference members No. 11 South Carolina at 9 a.m., and No. 4 LSU at 1 p.m.
