TCU is looking for a 4-0 start for second time in three years
FORT WORTH – TCU's season-opening five match homestand continues Sunday night when the Horned Frogs host Metroplex rival, SMU. Match time is set for 6 p.m. at Garvey-Rosenthal. The match will be televised on FSSW+.
ABOUT THE HORNED FROGS
TCU is 3-0 to start the season for the second time in three years (2016). The Frogs handed Stephen F. Austin a 4-0 loss on Thursday night. In the contest, three different freshmen tallied their first career goals. Messiah Bright's tally in the second minute stood up as the game-winner. Emily Alvarado made four stops in posting her first career complete-game shutout.
ABOUT THE MUSTANGS
SMU enters the match with a 2-1 mark this season. The Mustangs, who will be playing their third straight road game, are coming off a 2-1 victory at Rice on Thursday night. Courtney Sebazco opened the scoring in the 10thminute. Allie Thornton's third goal of the season in the 77thminute stood up as the game-winner. As they has done all season long, Samantha Estrada and Catie Brown split time in goal.
