Frogs will face Indiana State on Tuesday
HONOLULU – Six Horned Frogs scored in double figures as the TCU men's basketball team defeated Bucknell 82-65 Sunday in the semifinals of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic.
The Horned Frogs (10-1) trailed 41-40 with a minute to go in the first half. TCU then went on a 19-1 run that started with a JD Miller layup under a minute in the first half and capped off by a bucket from Kevin Samuel at the 15:21 mark of the second half to put the Frogs ahead 59-42, their largest lead of the game. Miller finished with 12 points and Samuel had 14 to go with a team-high nine rebounds.
Desmond Bane led the Frogs with 16 points on 7-of-14 from the field, including two 3-pointers. Jaylen Fisher had 14 points, his seventh-straight game in double figures, and made four 4-pointers. Kouat Noi hit three 3-pointers and finished with 13 points.
Alex Robinson had 11 points and matched his previous game's assist total with 11. Robinson's final two points came on the Frogs' last offensive possession and it gave him his fourth double-double of the season.
The Frogs led 44-41 at the half and then held the Bison (5-6) to 29.6 percent shooting in the second period. Overall, TCU outshot the Bison 44.6 percent to 37.7 percent

TCU will face Indiana State (8-3) in the championship game Tuesday at 8 p.m. CT/4 p.m. HT on ESPN2. The Frogs played the Sycamores on Dec. 16, a 90-70 win by TCU in Fort Worth.

- TCU had six players score in double figures for the second time this season. The other time was against USC on Dec. 7. It was the same six players of Bane, Fisher, Miller, Noi, Robinson and Samuel.

- Robinson recorded 11 assists for the second-straight game. Robinson holds the Diamond Head Classic record with Ike Iroegbu of Washington State who had 11 assists against New Mexico in 2015. Robinson also had 11 against Charlotte in the opening game on Saturday.
- Robinson has totaled 22 assists in the tournament, one short of the record of 23 by Kyle Collinsworth of BYU in 2015.
- At 517 career assists, Robinson passed Prince Fowler (514) and moved into sole possession of No. 2 all-time at TCU. Corey Santee, a graduate assistant on this year's team, remains on top at 575.
- It was the fourth time this season and the ninth time in Robinson's career that he had at least 10 assists.
- Robinson added 11 points to give him his fourth double-double of the season and seventh of his career.
