
Lipscomb Tops TCU, 73-64

A strong second half propelled the Bison to the 73-64 upset of TCU on Tuesday night.
FORT WORTH – After leading by as many as 14 points, TCU could not withstand a big second half by Lipscomb as the Bisons defeated No. 18 TCU, 73-64, on Tuesday night inside Schollmaier Arena.
TCU (3-1) was in control to open the game and stretched its lead out to as many as 14 over the Bisons (4-1) in the first half behind 13 points from senior Alex Robinson. Lipscomb used a 3-pointer from Andrew Fleming followed by two free throws to take its first lead of the game before Robinson scored from beyond-the-arc with the clock winding down to send TCU into the locker room with a 30-29 lead.
The lead for the Frogs did not last long as Lipscomb used a layup 10 seconds into the second half to take back the lead. The Bisons stretched out the advantage to as many as 12 before TCU began to chip away at the lead and used six points from Robinson and freshman Kendric Davis in a one minute time frame to bring the game within one. It proved to not be enough for the Frogs as Lipscomb went on a 9-1 run in the final two minutes to close out the game.
Robinson led TCU with a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds with Davis finishing with 14 point and JD Miller chipping in 11 points. Sophomore Kouat Noi saw action for the first time this season and finished with a career-high nine rebounds and four points in 23 minutes played.

TCU will continue action at home as they host Eastern Michigan on Monday at 7 p.m., on FOX Sports Southwest.

-TCU suffered a loss in the month of November for the first time since Nov. 24, 2015 when it dropped a 66-60 decision to Rhode Island. It was 18-straight wins in November, the second-best streak in the nation, only to Virginia's 21.
-TCU dropped to 40-7 when leading at halftime under Jamie Dixon.
-The Frogs' bench outscored Lipscomb's bench, 28-11.
-TCU out-rebounded its opponent for the 58th time under Dixon and is now 45-13 when out-rebounding its opponent.
Individual Notes
-Alex Robinson scored his second double-double of the season and second straight with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
-Robinson's 10 rebounds marked a career high for the senior.
-Kendric Davis scored a career-high 14 points and also finished with one rebound and one assist
-Kevin Samuel led the team in blocks for the second straight game with three against Lipscomb.
-Kouat Noi played in his first game of the season and finished with a nine rebounds, which tied a career high, and four points.
-Lat Mayen played in a career-high 11 minutes and scored a career-high eight points and was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field including 2-for-2 from 3-point range.
-Desmond Bane and Robinson led the team in assists with six a piece.
