MANHATTAN, Kan. – Natalee Heiser's goal in the 70thminute helped propel TCU to a 2-1 victory over Kansas State Sunday afternoon at the K-State Soccer Complex. McKenzie Oliver also tallied a goal in the contest.
The Rundown
TCU hit the ground running and didn't let off the gas. The Horned Frogs pumped 14 shots towards goal in the first half as they tried to take advantage of the windy conditions. The Frogs finally hit paydirt in the 23rdminute on a goal from McKenzie Oliver. Tara Smith slotted the ball to a streaking Oliver. Her shot to the far post didn't miss to give the Frogs the lead.
In the second half, Kansas State took advantage of its first opportunity to get the game tied at one. Hannah Davis' corner kick feed was right on target and Haley Sutter's header bounced over the goal line to make it a 1-1 contest.
The Frogs kept pushing the pace and were rewarded with the eventual game-winning goal in the 70thminute. Yazmeen Ryan did the bulk of the work to earn TCU a corner kick. She took the corner and her feed was placed perfectly for Natalee Heiser who headed the ball into the net for a 2-1 lead.

Quotes of the Game
Head Coach Eric Bell
On the game:
"It's always good to get a win on the road in the league. It's hard. The elements didn't cooperate. But with all the things we had to deal with, to come away with a good result is a good thing for us.
"We showed we have depth off the bench. For McKenzie, we decided to start her today. I thought it was a great final pass from Tara and a good finish from McKenzie. It was awesome for her and us. She's been working hard to get back on the scoresheet. As for Natalee, we've always known she has a goal-scoring quality. She has a knack for being in the right place at the right time. Lucky for us, today she was there to get the header. It was nice for us on a weekend with two games in three days."
