TCU sets school record with ninth shutout
FORT WORTH –Messiah Bright score 8 seconds into the second half and TCU ran away with a 2-0 victory over No. 24 Texas Tech Friday night at Garvey-Rosenthal. A crowd of 2,533, the seventh-largest in stadium history, was on hand to see the 2018 seniors close out their home slate with a win.
The Rundown

TCU's looks came early in match as McKenzie Oliver and Messiah Bright each had good chances towards net in the first three minutes. The Red Raiders tested Emily Alvarado in the 40thminute with a shot in close, but she was there to make the stop.

Quotes of the Game
Head Coach Eric Bell
On the game:
"I call it a professional performance. It was a chess match in the first half where both teams were being really conservative, not giving up anything so you don't get scored on first. But then, you go back and make a couple of adjustments, I'm sure they did the same, at the half and then you come out and score eight seconds into the half, which was awesome. We were able to put another one in the back of the net and ice the game after that. It bodes well for us moving to the future that we can play these kinds of games against quality opponents and win."
On the seniors:
"They are awesome. I couldn't be more happy for them, for what they did today. Looking back to 2015 you see a lot of growth and maturity from a lot of players. I am happy to see them transform and grow into women that represent us in the right way. They were here when we weren't that good and they are here now when we are pretty good."
