Horned Frogs Wrap-Up Action in Hawaii

FORT WORTH, Texas - The final day in Honolulu, Hawaii saw the TCU beach volleyball team split its matches, as the team took a 5-0 win over Chaminade to begin the day before dropping a 5-0 loss to No. 5 Hawaii to end the road trip at Queen's Beach.
The Horned Frogs (4-2) were able to pick up their second straight win and fourth of the season when they opened Saturday against the Silverswords (0-1) with a 5-0 blanking. TCU could not take the momentum into the final match of the day as they fell on all courts to the Rainbow Wahine (3-3).
All five duos went 1-1 on the day, as the pair of Clare Ford and Blaire Pickens were on the brink of going undefeated. The duo competed on court five and scored a 21-13, 21-15 win over a pair from Chaminade to open the day and then went into the match against Hawaii and won the first set over Ari Homayun and Tai Manu-Olevao, 21-19. The duo could not hold on, as the Rainbow Wahine pair came back to take the final two sets, 21-19, 15-10, to steal the match.

Up Next
TCU will return home after two weeks on the road and will prepare to host its first-ever home competition from March 19-20. The Fight at the Fort will feature the Frogs along with Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Florida State and Houston Baptist. Competition begins on Saturday at 9 a.m.
