TCU To Battle Tennessee In Big 12/SEC Challenge

IRVING, Texas - The Big 12 Conference announced Thursday that TCU will take on Tennessee in the 2015-16 Big 12/SEC Challenge Presented By Sonic.
The Horned Frogs will battle the Volunteers on Saturday, Jan. 30 inside their new basketball arena, which is currently undergoing a $72 million dollar renovation. TCU is 2-0 all-time in the Challenge, having defeated Mississippi State and Ole Miss the last two years. The Purple and White are 1-0 all-time against Tennessee, upending the Vols in 2001, 73-59.
ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to televise every game of the third annual event matching every Big 12 squad with 10 members from the Southeastern Conference. In addition, ESPN's College GameDay Covered by State Farm will originate from a to be determined site of one of the day's games. Additional components of the event, including start times and exact network information, will be announced at a later date.
The Big 12 is 13-7 (.650) in the Challenge, having won the series in each of its first two seasons.
