FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU senior All-American candidate Zahna Medley hit six three-point field goals and freshman Jordan Moore had a career high 16 points to lead TCU to an 80-42 win over ULM on Saturday afternoon at the University Recreation Center.
Medley's three to open the second quarter gave her 250 made three-point field goals for her career, becoming one of just four active players nationally to reach the mark. She finished with 20 points and hit 6-of-8 three-point field goals in the game.
Moore's career best 16 points came as she knocked down 4-of-7 shots from the field and a career best 8-of-9 from the free throw line. She also added two blocks in 20 minutes of action.
TCU (6-2) won its 11th consecutive game at home, tying for the third longest streak in program history and the longest since a streak that spanned the 2008-09 through 2010-11 seasons. The Frogs are now 20-3 at home over the last two seasons with two of the three losses coming at the hands of teams ranked in the top five nationally.
ULM (4-3), who earlier this season took LSU to overtime in Baton Rouge, was forced into 26 turnovers that resulted in 26 points for the Frogs. The Frogs also limited ULM to just four second chance points in the victory.
The Frogs took an 18-2 lead in the first quarter and led 21-7 at the quarter break as TCU forced 11 turnovers in the opening quarter. The Frogs forced two shot clock violations and a 10-second backcourt violation in the opening 10 minutes to set the defensive tone early.
The Frogs led by as many as 32 points in the first half and led by 30 at 47-17 at halftime. It was the third time this season that TCU allowed under 20 points in the first half of a game, holding Sam Houston State and New Orleans under the mark to open the season.
The Frogs coasted to the easy victory in the second half, leading by as many as 40 in the fourth quarter as no one on the TCU roster played more than 27 minutes.
Sophomore Toree Thompson added 15 points and five assists to round out the three TCU players in double figures.
ULM's Alayshia Hunter led the Warhawks with 17 points and five rebounds.
