
Men's Tennis Heads to Cajun Classic

FORT WORTH, Texas (September 17, 2014) - Four student-athletes from the TCU men's tennis team will continue fall action by heading to Lafayette, La., for the Cajun Classic on Sept. 18-21 on the campus of Lousiana-Lafayette. Seniors Arnau Dachs and Will Stein, along with newcomers Guillermo Nuñez and Trevor Johnson will represent TCU in the tournament, which boasts eight of the best teams in the country - LSU, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Wake Forest, Texas, Georgia, TCU and host Louisiana-Lafayette.
"We are very excited to bring four of our best players to Lafayette," coach David Roditi said. "This tournament is looking like one of the best college tournament of the year."
The Horned Frogs will open the tournament with singles, as Johnson and Nunez will start off at 9 a.m., on the Cajun Courts. Dachs will take the court at 10:30 a.m., while Stein will be the final player from TCU at Noon. Winners in the first round of singles will play their second round match in the afternoon on Thursday, before doubles play begins on Friday.
TCU is coming off an opening fall weekend at the Midland Invitational in Midland, Texas where Johnson went undefeated by making it to the singles finals and the doubles semifinals before the event was canceled.
