FORT WORTH, Texas - GoFrogs.com continues its look back at this past women's basketball season with the third installment of an in-depth look at the 2010-11 senior class.
During this week's look back, GoFrogs.com breaks down Rachel Rentschler's final season in a Horned Frog uniform.
Rentschler closed out her career making four straight starts. Overall, she played in 33 games, making six starts during her final year in Fort Worth. She scored in double-figures twice during the course of the season, scoring 11 points versus Houston Baptist and at New Mexico. She ranked first on the squad in 3-point field goal percentage, while also finishing in the top four in 3-point field goals made for the season.
A Look At Some Of Her Big Games
New Mexico (Mountain West Conference Tournament)
During a game in which the Horned Frogs posted the third-largest margin of victory in tournament history, TCU received solid contributions from several individuals in semifinal action and Rentschler was a big reason why the Frogs advanced to the program's first MWC Final. In all, she had a seasonal-best game against New Mexico, scoring eight points, while grabbing a season-high 10 rebounds.
New Mexico
On Feb. 26, Rentschler helped TCU win for only the second time at The Pit in program history as the Frogs rolled to an 84-71 victory in Albuquerque. She was one of three Frogs in double-figures on the day, scoring a season-high 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including 3-of-5 from deep.
Houston Baptist
Retschler opened her final season in fine fashion, scoring 11 points as No. 23 TCU routed Houston Baptist, 96-38. During the opener, Rentschler tied a career high by going three-for-three from behind the 3-point stripe in what was the eighth-most lopsided win in program history.
