TCU Head Coach Jeff Mittie
On the game:
"It was a really hard game to try and help our group. We were never in sync most of the night. BYU deserves a lot of credit for this game. They had a week to prepare and you could tell they spent a lot of time on our stuff. There were times where they ran our plays better than we did."
"BYU was able to take us out of what we wanted to do tonight. Even when we had numbers, their group covered our shooters well. I thought they played a great defensive game and I thought our players did as well."
On not being able to get on runs:
"It seems like we had a run at the end of the first half, but we never had enough offense to really pull away from this game. It was really hard to find points tonight."
On the importance of the 8-0 run before the half:
"It was important enough to use a timeout after I had already used one. I did not think there would be any big offense to make a huge run. I did not think there was enough points to run away with the game."
TCU Senior Guard Helena Sverrisdottir
On her three pointer shooting tonight:
"I think my shot just came to me during the game. I was just going to keep playing and shooting."
On the seventh win in-a-row:
"It feels good to get this win tonight and it might not have been a win for us before Christmas. I think we have come far, but we have a lot of work ahead of us. I am really pleased we were able to come out with the win."
