Carter moved the score to 56-50 with 3 minutes to go in the contest just beating the shot clock from deep off a skip pass from Antoinette Thompson. Carter powered the Frogs down the stretch going 9-of-10 from the charity stripe in the second half to secure the Horned Frog victory.
The Horned Frogs jumped out to an early 5-2 lead following a mid-range jumper by Gross. The Cougars battled back to take the lead before Crawford's put-back off a rebound made the score 8-7 in favor of the Frogs.
Sverrisdottir's three-point play at the 9:54 mark of the first half pushed the TCU lead back to three at 13-10, but the Cougars clawed their way back to tie the ballgame halfway through the first half.
Two-straight buckets by Carter ignited an 8-0 run, included in that span was a beautiful look ahead from Sverrisdottir to Crawford to move the score to 21-15 late in the first half.
Houston cut into the TCU lead right before the break on a 5-0 run to make the score 23-20 in favor of the Frogs, which is tied for No. 10 all-time in fewest combined first half points.
