TEAM NOTES
TCU won its 11th season opener in 12 tries under head coach Jeff Mittie.
HBU's 12 first-half points marked the sixth-lowest scoring total for a TCU opponent in a first half in program history. Texas Southern set the school record by scoring only five points in the opening 20 minutes on Dec. 30, 2002.
TCU's 37-point lead at halftime was the ninth largest in school history.
TCU connected on 11 three pointers Friday night, the most since scoring 11 against Wyoming in 2009.
The 96 points scored were the most since the Horned Frogs posted 105 against Utah last season.
TCU won by 58 points Friday night, which is the eighth largest defeat in school history.
TCU moved to 2-0 all-time against the Huskies, scoring over 90 points in both contests.
PLAYER NOTES
Emily Carter, who totaled a career-high of 26 points Friday night, has scored at least 20 points in a game now nine times.
Emily Carter became only the 12th Horned Frog in program history to surpass 1,000 points for a career on a running layup at the 8:45 mark of the second half.
DeLisa Gross scored in double figures for only the sixth time in her career. The Frogs had five players score in double figures
Rachel Rentschler went 3-of-3 in three pointers Friday night, marking the most in a game for the senior since facing Cal in 2008. Rentschler tied a career high in three-point makes Friday night.
Starr Crawford hit her first career three-pointer at the 8:51 mark of the first half.
Starr Crawford recorded her sixth double-double Friday night of her career with 11 rebounds and 15 points.
