FORT WORTH, Texas -- Elisa Gomez is a sophomore on the TCU women's golf team.Nicknamed "Popcorn," Gomez is a broadcast journalism major who aspires to be a sportscaster and eventually work for ESPN.
Gomez was named to the 2004-05 Conference USA Freshman Team. She recorded an 80.5 stroke average while playing in seven tournaments covering 19 rounds.
The Carrollton, Texas, native recorded a career-low par 73 in her first collegiate round of golf at the Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., (Sept. 13-15, 2004). It was part of a career-best score of 226 which earned her a tie for 27th individually.

What superstitions do you have when playing golf?
I use a Texas quarter to mark my ball and a black sharpie on the last day.
Other than playing professional golf, what job do you see yourself doing in the future?
Being an anchor on ESPN.
What is one thing about yourself that most people don't know?
I play the cello.

Stacey Bieber. She's very tough and a strong leader.

Koala bear.
