
TCU falls at No. 21 BYU

PROVO, Utah (AP) - Ambrosia Anderson scored 25 points and had seven rebounds to lead No. 21 BYU to a 73-56 win over TCU on Saturday.
BYU (22-3, 12-2 Mountain West) used a 9-0 run in the second half, capped by Anderson's basket with 8:12 remaining, to take a 56-40 lead.
Ashley Davis responded for TCU (15-10, 9-5) with two 3-pointers, helping the Lady Frogs go on a 10-2 run and pull to 58-50.
Mallary Gillespie's consecutive 3-pointers for the Cougars gave them a 66-51 lead and sealed the win.
BYU led 34-27 at halftime.
Shooting and rebounding were the keys for the Cougars as they shot 45 percent and outrebounded the Lady Frogs 51-34.
Gillespie finished with 12 points. Shawnee Slade had 10 points and a game-high nine rebounds.
Davis came off the bench to score a career-high 22 points, while Natasha Lacy added 12 points for the Horned Frogs.
