TCU has finished the installation and painting of a brand new Daniel-Meyer Coliseum floor. The Horned Frogs had played on the original floor, which was installed in 1960, for 42 seasons and owned a 348-202 record (.633) over that time. The new hardwood is a state-of-the-art Connor Uni-Force floor that is designed to help increase bounce and reduce player injuries.
The shock absorption factor on the old floor was estimated to be 10 percent. The new Connor Uni-Force floor will have a shock absorption factor of 65 percent with a ball rebound in the upper 90 percentile.
A photo gallery showing different angles of the floor can be found on the TCU men's basketball page. For season ticket information for the 2003-04 season, call (817) 257-6658.
