
Women's Golf Lands Two International Players

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU head women's golf coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin announced today the signing of a pair of international golfers. Stacey Bieber, who hails from Canada, and Elin Emanuelsson, a native of Sweden, will join the Horned Frogs in the fall of 2003. They are the first international players to ever play for Ravaioli-Larkin at TCU.
"Both Stacey and Elin will provide depth to our team," Ravaioli-Larkin said. "We are very excited to add them to our 2003 signing class and look forward to them having bright collegiate careers."
Bieber played her prep golf at Silver Heights Collegiate High School in Winnipeg. She led Silver Heights to the team title at the Manitoba Provincial High School Championships during the 2001-02 campaign, picking up medalist honors in the process. She also claimed the individual title this past season. Bieber has been victorious in the high school junior championships, and recently placed eighth among 100 participants at the Canadian Nationals.
Emanuelsson, from Maka, Sweden, was trained by the fomer head coach of the Swedish National Team, who taught current LPGA Tour sensation Annika Sorenstam in the 1980s. Emanuelsson recently played in the Junior Masters Invitational, an event that features the top Nordic juniors. Her lowest round of the season is a 71. She is an all-around athlete who also excels in handball.
