Alex Menichini's six-game win streak was snapped today as he was defeated by Michael Calkins in the first round of the 2002 ITA All American tournament in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Senior Toni Gordon (ITA preseason rank 46th) defeated Wade Orr of Tennessee 4-6; 7-6 (4); 6-1 to advance to the next round tomorrow.

Doubles matches will take place Thursday evening and singles will resume Friday.

Toni Gordon def. Wade Orr: 4-6; 7-6 (4); 6-1 Michael Calkins def. Alex Menichini: 7-6(3); 6-3
