Stanford Fires 70, TCU Drops to Second Place

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma (April 25) TCU senior Angela Stanford shot a two-under score of
70 in the second round of the 2000 WAC Women's Golf Championships Tuesday, April 25,
increasing her lead to seven shots. The 54-hole tournament is being held at
the Forest Ridge Golf Course in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The tournament will
conclude on Wednesday, April 26 with the final 18 holes.
The TCU women shot a second-round total of 298 to fall two shots behind host Tulsa. The Tulsa women fired an 18-hole score of 296. Stanford shot 35-35, recording four birdies in her round. Tulsa's Dani Mallon fired an 18-hole score of 73 to fall into a tie with Maiko Senda, also of Tulsa.
