Women's Golf Finishes Third at Longhorn Invitational

Four TCU golfers finished in the individual top 20. Senior Angela Stanford (Saginaw, Texas/Boswell HS) and sophomore Lori Sutherland (DeSoto, Texas/Duncanville HS) tied for sixth with a three-round 230. Stanford shot an 80 in the final round to stay in sixth. Sutherland improved from 22nd with a 73. Both were seven shots out of the lead. Nebraska's Sarah Sasse and New Mexico State's Sasha Medina won the event with a 223.
Freshman Shannon Barr (China Spring, Texas/China Spring HS) and sophomore Jennifer Patterson (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park HS) tied for 20th with a 54-hole 236.
The only TCU golfer out of the top 25 is senior Brenda Anderson (Rio Rancho, N.M./Round Rock McNeil HS). Anderson finished in 60th place at 255.
TCU next competes at the Lady Sun Devil on April 7-9 in Phoenix, Ariz.
