Stanford Tied for Individual Lead

Leading the Horned Frogs is senior Angela Stanford (Saginaw, Texas/Boswell HS). Stanford, who has won three times this season, is poised to make a run at her fourth individual crown of the year. Stanford's first round 73 (+1) is tied with two other golfers for first place. Nebraska's Sarah Sasse and Rebecka Heinmert of San Jose State also have a share of the lead.
TCU has two other golfers in the top 25. Sophomore Lori Sutherland (DeSoto, Texas/Duncanville HS) sits in a four-way tie for 14th place with a 77. Sophomore Jennifer Patterson (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park HS) is in a six way tie for 25th at 79.
Rounding out the TCU lineup, freshman Shannon Barr (China Spring, Texas/China Spring HS) is in 46th place with a 10-over, 82. Senior Brenda Anderson (Rio Rancho, N.M/Round Rock McNeil HS) is in 67th place with an 88.
Play continues on Saturday, March 18 with the tournament's second round at Great Hills Golf Club in Austin, Texas.
