TCU Women's Soccer Defeats UMass, 2-1

Amherst, Mass. (Sept. 12) - TCU freshman forward Sherry Dick (Arlington, Texas/Sam Houston H.S.) scored a goal with less than eight minutes remaining in the game to give TCU a 2-1 win over UMass Sunday afternoon in the second day of action at the UMass Classic.
Ending a two-game losing streak, TCU improves to 4-2 while UMass drops to 2-1-1.
UMass senior Emma Kurowski scored the game's first goal on a chip in shot from a pass from sophomore Kristi Robicheau at 59:53. TCU tied the game when freshman defender Alecia Grieshaber (North Richland Hills, Texas/Richland H.S.) scored on a dropped save by UMass keeper Cori Stevens. Stevens saved the initial shot, but the ball bounced out of her hands and Grieshaber netted the tying goal at 67:05. Dick knocked in the game winner off a free kick served from senior midfielder Allison Calleri (Arlington, Texas/Martin H.S.).
In the first game of the day, Harvard dominated UAB, winning by a 7-1 margin.
TCU returns home to the TCU Soccer Complex, Saturday, Sept. 18, when the Frogs host Oklahoma at 1 p.m.
