Amenemopé McKinney enters her second season as a graduate assistant at TCU in 2017-18. She comes to Fort Worth after a four-year business career that followed a four-year playing career at Rice.
McKinney worked as a management consultant for four years before coming to TCU, specializing in human capital strategy and finance/risk strategy. McKinney also founded Ambytion Sports Enterprises and authored the book "Just A Game".
She also served for the one year as co-club director for Texas United Basketball and served as head coach for the club's 15U EYBL team. Prior to that, McKinney served as assistant coach for United Elite Basketball for two years.
Prior to her time in the business world and at the club basketball level, McKinney was a four-year letter winning point guard at Rice. The Arlington, Texas, native played in 108 games for the Owls.
An excellent student-athlete, McKinney received Conference USA Honor Roll honors and was an Arthur Ashe Sports-Scholar Award Third Team member.
McKinney earned her Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Rice in 2012.
