Responsibilities: Denton is responsible for gift generation, membership growth and overall operations of the TCU Block T Association (association of former TCU letter-winners), including the coordination and execution of the TCU Athletics Hall of Fame.
Joined TCU Athletics Staff: 2005
At TCU: Denton returned to the TCU campus as Executive Director of the TCU Frog Club in 2005. In 2010, he was promoted to Director of Major Gifts for TCU Athletics in advance of the Amon G. Carter Stadium renovation project and was named Associate AD - Athletics Alumni Relations in 2019. Denton has also served 33 years as a broadcaster for TCU on the Horned Frog Sports Network, working TCU football, TCU men’s and women’s basketball, TCU Soccer as well as TCU Baseball broadcasts.
Prior to TCU: Denton spent 10 years as VP-Sales & Marketing with Professional Turf Products, a subsidiary of the Toro Company. Denton also spent 10 years in golf event management with the Senior PGA TOUR as General Manager of the Dallas Reunion Pro-Am golf tournament.
Education: TCU, 1985 (B.S. Broadcast Journalism)
Personal: A native of Dallas, Denton came to TCU in 1980 as a walk-on kicker, earned a scholarship and played four years for the Horned Frogs from 1981-1984, including an appearance in the 1984 Bluebonnet Bowl. Denton lives in Southlake, TX with his wife, Linda. They have two daughters, Erin and Meredith – both TCU graduates!
